Welcome to the age of permanent motion.
Change used to arrive as an event. A new system. A restructure. A new process. We managed it, adapted and expected things to settle down again.
That pause is disappearing.
LETG@ Moves is about developing the capacity to live and work well when change is continuous, overlapping and increasingly difficult to predict.
Rather than preparing people for one particular change, it explores how we can build change fitness: the ability to make sense of uncertainty, learn and adapt quickly, manage our capacity and energy, maintain trust, exercise agency and keep moving without exhausting ourselves in the process.
Drawing on research from organisational psychology, learning science, leadership and behavioural science, the book moves through three interconnected levels:
Individuals
Build the capabilities to interpret uncertainty, learn adaptively, manage energy and recovery, and act with agency.
Teams
Develop trust, psychological safety, shared sensemaking and adaptive routines that help people navigate sustained change together.
Organisations
Create leadership practices, structures and cultures that build adaptive capacity into everyday work.
Throughout the book, Change Fitness Checks, five-minute practices, team workouts, sensemaking questions, journal prompts and practical indicators turn the research into something you can actually use.
Because the aim is not to predict what comes next.
It is to build the capacity to meet it.
